NAME AND EMBLEM OF THE SANGHA

The name “Chetan Sevashram Sangha” has been attributed by our Holy Mother Sri Sri Maa Chaitanyamayee. The term “Chetan” has its universal notion. It is not that who are directly associated with the Sangha are the only members of Chetan Sevashram Sangha but those who have attained consciousness residing at any corner of this world are also included in Chetan Savashram Sangha.

The emblem of Chetan Sevashram Sangha is inimitable in one hand and on the other expresses the secret path of being united with God.

, “nalpe sukham asti, bhumaiva sukham” – Chhandogyo Upanishad, Section 22

Nalpe sukham asti”—Happiness does not lie in the finite things. “Bhumaiva sukham” – it only lies in the completeness, totality and in the absolute. The term “Bhuma” used in “Chhandogyo Upanishad” implies absoluteness, immortality, infinity and eternity – all these ideas are embedded in the very concept of what “Upanishad” calls “Bhuma”.

When our heart expands we can hear the call for higher duties towards our Three Mothers – Biological Mother, Mother Land and Mother of this Universe. When our heart expands we can attain ‘Humanity’ in its true sense, then we are not encircled in a small family, we go beyond the limit of small family and get included in the universal family.
